INDIA: For 20 years our outstanding riding tour from palace to palace through Rajasthan has been a favorite of Mel and Bayard Fox, founders of Equitours. They have taken rides in Rajasthan a dozen times now. In February they return to do a custom itinerary, the Shekhawati Ride, where excellent sandy footing invites long, exhilarating canters on exotic Marwari horses. It has been booked full with old guests and was not publicized previously. But now their son, Richard, and his wife, Hadley, are joining the trip as well. We have arranged for a second group which will follow the same route, joining up at lunch and in the evenings, but traveling on horseback separately, so there will not be too many riders together. The Fox family will alternate between the two groups. You might want to arrive in Delhi a day or two earlier if you are interested in seeing the annual craft fair.
