If ever you are lucky enough to visit the beautiful land of Greece you will find a country haunted by more than three thousand year of history, legend and myth. You can absorb the beauty and serenity of Crete, or the Pelion Peninsula, swim in little coves of the Aegean Sea, scale rocky slopes on which are perched remote villages with narrow streets and friendly people, and follow ancient patahways through olive groves and shaded forests.
Greece - AEGEAN STATIONARY PROGRAM - The same outfitter who guides the Pelion Coast Ride offers this program combining a morning lesson with afternoon trail rides to a different point of interest each day.
Greece - CRETE STAR TRAIL - Ride out each day from a central location, with plenty of time to relax around the swimming pool, basking in the sun and the genuine warm hospitality of Crete. The small hotel and stable are memorable for the beautiful views across the valley.
Greece - CRETE TRAIL OF THE GODS - This is a point-to-point and more adventurous version of the Star Trail. The route crosses the mountains and plateau of central Crete, winding through villages, olive groves and vineyards. Along the way, you reach the sea and chance to swim the horses in the azure waters of the Mediterranean. It ends where it began, back at the welcoming hotel/stable near Crete’s south coast.
Greece - PELION COAST RIDE - A meandering trailride zigzagging across through the scenic countryside of the Pelion Peninsula; whitewashed villages along the coast, shady forest paths, ancient cobblestone trails and a chance to swim the horses in the Aegean Sea.
