| Itinerary |
| Day 1: | Sunday: Arrive at your first inn anytime after 3:00 PM. Dinner on this night is not included, but the innkeepers will be very happy to help you make a restaurant selection. The inn has a hot tub, so don't forget your bathing suit.
| Day 2: | Monday: Enjoy a hearty New England breakfast before meeting at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm at 9:30 AM, dressed ready to ride. A short introduction to the Icelandic horses will be followed by the assignment of horses and a brief evaluation ride. Off to the Mad River for a picnic lunch. The afternoon follows wooded trails and dirt roads to arrive at the inn with time to relax before dinner or luxuriate in the hot tub.
| Day 3: | Tuesday: Today there are magnificent views of the ski areas with long stretches of tolting along the route. Lunch is at a pretty spot by the river. Then off for more riding through forests and neighboring farm lands. Back to the inn where you may choose to relax before dinner or explore the small village of Waitsfield. Following dinner you may even wish to take in a movie at the local theater.
| Day 4: | Wednesday: The journey continues via the "Enchanted Way"; wonderful terrain used by cross country skiers in winter. This is a short riding day. Arrive back at the farm in time for a late lunch. The afternoon is at your leisure, with time for site seeing, shopping or returning to the Mad River Inn to relax. A canoe trip can be arranged or maybe a massage. Meet back at the inn for an enjoyable dinner and socializing. The Mad River Inn boasts Victorian decor, a hot tub and a game room with pool table.
| Day 5: | Thursday: Start the morning from the farm. You may choose to ride a different horse today. Off to explore Camel's Hump State Forest in the area the locals call "Baird In the Bush". After a brook side picnic, the afternoon ride follows dirt roads and wooded trails, returning to the Mad River Inn around 4:00PM. You will be joined by your innkeepers and hosts from the farm for another fine New England country dinner.
| Day 6: | Friday: Ride up through the mountains along scenic stone walls and farmland. Lunch is back at the farm and for those who wish to ride in the afternoon there is more tolting along dirt roads. The afternoon trek brings riders back to the farm by 4:00 PM to allow for evening departure.
