| Itinerary |
| Day 1: | Meet at the Palermo airport. Your holiday begins with a scenic drive to the picturesque town of Cefalu. Spend the afternoon wandering the cobblestone streets,viewing the mosaic tiled cathedral or climbing the famous Salita Saraceno (staircase) that winds up through three tiers of city walls to La Rocca (the Rock). Here you can view the sun drenched city and small harbor against the aqua backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. |
| Day 2: | The day starts with an hour in the arena to become familiar with your horse before heading out on the trails. At mid-day riders stop for lunch at a centuries-old monastery where the specialties include locally grown mushrooms. |
| Day 3: | Weather permitting, todays ride will be to the top of Pizzo Carbonara, the tallest mountain in this range! The horses show their incredible strength and stamina as they carry riders to the peak. Enjoy the postcard-perfect views while picnicing near the top. The afternoon ride winds through the ancient holy forest of Piano Pomo. |
| Day 4: | Trek from Castelbuono to Terravecchia, crossing Mount Pizzo Canna, also known as the "Eagles Nest". Lunch near the ancient oak forest of Pomieri, then ride on to the country house where you will overnight. |
| Day 5: | Head up to the medieval town of Geraci, crossing the Portella Mandarini Pass along the way. Ride through the small village before stopping at the historical center for lunch. The afternoon ride climbs over Bifochi Pass before descending to Terranova for overnight. |
| Day 6: | The day starts with a visit to Modonna dell'Alto Sanctuary where you will enjoy incredible views of the surrounding landscape. Canter through the Madonna Degli Angeli Valley as it takes you to the Abies nebrodensis (ancient firs)forest. The day ends with a climb over Portella Colla Pass to reach the Baita del Faggio for dinner and overnight. |
| Day 7: | One final day of varied paces and beautiful views as you wind your way back to Castelbuono. Tonight is a night to celebrate a wonderful week of great horses, lovely country, and new friends! |
| Day 8: | Breakfast and transfer to airport. |
