Horseback Riding in Canada
ST. LAWRENCE RIDE

You will explore wild country and follow logging roads made over 200 years ago, which now lead to picturesque little villages tucked away in the forest. These are not luxurious trips. The food is good and the hospitality is warm. Evenings are merry with guitar playing and songs.

If Zen can be achieved on a horse, it is on this trip that it happens. Bernard and his staff are caring, compassionate, professional horseman that exceed your expectations at every turn. This was truly an incredible adventure.
- Connie Huffman

Itinerary
Day 1:Meet your host at the Voyageur Bus Terminal in Trois Rivieres at 5:30pm or at the farm at 4:30pm, if driving. After dinner in town drive to the farm where you will overnight in the farm's guesthouse.
Day 2:Today ride in the ranch area on varied terrains enjoying some trots and canters. Return to the bunkhouse and transfer to the cabin deep in the woods for dinner. This is where you will spend the next few nights.
Day 3:This morning's ride is through the maple forests with a stop at the sand dunes for lunch. There will be plenty of opportunities for trotting and cantering on today's ride. Return to the cabin for overnight.
Day 4:The destination for lunch is the village of Sainte Gertrude. The haunting beauty of this day's ride through the maple forests may very well be the main topic of conversation that night. In the afternoon ride back to the cabin for dinner and overnight.
Day 5:Ride across miles of sand dunes and picnic beside the falls of the Gentilly River. Transfer back to the farm.
Day 6:This is a learning and playing day where riders will form teams for a cattle drive, demonstrating newly honed western riding skills. A small herd of cattle (about 50) on the 300 acre farm will be used. After a quick shower, depart for the Trois Rivieres Bus Terminal for a 6:30pm departure back to Montreal.
THIS ITINERARY IS FLEXIBLE. CHANGES MAY OCCUR DUE TO WEATHER OR OTHER UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
